If you sell anything that requires hopping on a sales call, I have an email hack for you.

(If you implement this, you’ll never run out of email ideas again.)

I call it Sales Call Mining.

Every call you get on is a goldmine of questions and objections from people who are this close to buying from you.

And those questions are usually the best email prompts you’ll ever get - because they come straight from the mouths of your actual buyers.

So here’s what you should do:

  • A few times a month, pull up all your sales call transcripts from the past few weeks

  • Drop them into a tool like Claude or ChatGPT

  • Ask it to pull out the most common questions and objections prospects raised

  • Turn each one into an email (or a LinkedIn post)

Pro tip: if you use a service like Fathom or Granola, you can actually connect it to Claude via MCP and then Claude can pull up the transcripts for you without you having to copy and paste anything.

That’s it.

Your buyers are telling you exactly what they need to know before they work with you. And now, you can answer those questions at scale.

Why it works

There are 3 reasons why I love this tactic:

  • It kills the “what should I write about?” problem - your prospects are literally telling you what topics to write about on every call. So as long as you listen, you’ll never stare at a blank page again.

  • One question on a call means dozens of silent prospects - if one person asked it out loud, chances are plenty of others are wondering the same thing. And that unanswered question might be the exact reason they haven’t booked a call with you yet.

  • It warms up future prospects before they ever talk to you - when you handle the objection in an email, it’s already dealt with by the time you get on a call. So as a result, you spend less time answering the same questions and more time closing.

Advanced Hack: Build A Full Pre-Call Sequence

Once you’ve written enough of these emails, compile them into a pre-call sequence you send to everyone who books a call with you (before the call happens).

It’s a great way to maximize intent and show rates.

My friend Matthew Brown did that recently and he’s had awesome results.

He fed Claude a stack of his sales call transcripts, had it build a list of the top 10 questions prospects ask before buying, and then wrote a full pre-call sequence answering every one of them.

Now everyone who books a call goes through this whole sequence before they even jump on the call.

His open rates are through the roof. And he’s had prospects tell him they loved getting those emails beforehand because it answered a lot of questions that were already in their head.

The Prompt

Now as usual, here is a prompt to help mine your sales calls and turn them into emails:
