  • Dozens of inbound leads

And after spending a few hours analyzing the ones that performed best, I noticed a crystal-clear pattern:

They ALL had an AI component (typically an AI prompt).

For example, one of my most successful lead magnets of the past few months was my Newsletter Launchpad Prompts…

Which generated over 800 subscribers in a 3-4 day period when I first launched it back in January.

And it makes perfect sense!

With AI being so prevalent right now, people are hungry for practical ways to leverage this technology in their life and business.

They want the benefits without having to do all the work manually OR… having to become prompt engineering experts.

What This Means For You

So, here’s the bottom line:

You can significantly increase both the virality potential AND conversion rate of your lead magnets simply by adding an “AI component” to them.

But most founders & creators struggle with this because they don’t even know how to create great prompts for themselves - let alone package them up as lead magnets.

And if that sounds like you, then don’t worry.

Now, before we dig into any prompts, let me walk through...

The Problem With Most Lead Magnets

Traditional lead magnets (ebooks, checklists, videos) aren’t performing like they used to.

Why?

Because they’re:

  • Time-consuming - Nobody wants to read a 50-page PDF

  • Generic - They don’t solve specific problems

  • Outdated - They don’t leverage new technologies like AI

  • Not immediately actionable - Results take too long

The best lead magnets today deliver IMMEDIATE value that people can implement in minutes, not days.

Luckily, you can solve this problem with an AI-Powered Lead Magnet.

As I mentioned earlier, you can increase the appeal & the virality potential of your lead magnets by adding an AI component.

Now, you want your lead magnets to generate lots of leads but also… lots of sales.

(And this is where most people go wrong - they build assets that grow their audience but NOT their business!)

So, the question is - how do you build a lead magnet that has the ability to do both?

Well, the most effective way I know (after building dozens of lead magnets myself) is by unbundling your paid offer.

Let me explain.

How To Create A Money-Making AI Lead Magnet (By Unbundling Your Paid Offer)

I really like Alex Hormozi’s idea of a lead magnet being a “complete solution to a narrow problem.”

But, what does this mean?

Basically, most products and services are designed to solve a series of problems for your customers, right?

Now, you can use your lead magnet to help your ideal customers solve a smaller problem they need to solve before they can even think about the bigger problem your core product or service will help them with.

For example:

If your main service helps people sell their house (big problem), your lead magnet can help them write a compelling listing so they can put it for sale in the first place (smaller problem).

The beautiful thing is - if you have a solid paid offer, you probably help your customers solve a lot of “small problems” already (before you help them solve the big ones).

Which is why I call this approach “unbundling.”

You’re unbundling your paid offer & using one of the many solutions you include in there as a lead magnet.

And by helping people solve this smaller problem for free, you’re:

  • Saving them time & effort

  • Demonstrating your expertise

  • And building trust and goodwill - all at the same time

So when they’re ready to tackle the bigger problem, they’ll be way more likely to buy YOUR product or service…

Because you helped take the initial step.

Now, let’s dig into the prompt I’ve put together to help you start building your AI-Powered Lead Magnet.

How To Generate AI-Powered Lead Magnet Ideas (With AI)

After analyzing dozens of my most successful lead magnets, I’ve developed a powerful two-step process for creating AI-Powered Lead Magnets that both generate leads AND drive sales (using AI).

Here’s how it works:

  1. Use the first prompt to identify smaller “precursor problems” your audience faces before they need your main solution.

  2. Choose one problem and use the second part of the prompt to generate 10 AI Lead Magnet ideas to solve it quickly

The beauty of this approach is that it creates what I call a “natural bridge” - your lead magnet solves an immediate problem while simultaneously preparing them for your paid solution.

Before we dive in, here’s what you’ll need to have ready:

  • Information about your paid offer (what it is, who it’s for, what problem it solves).

  • A clear understanding of the journey your customers take before they’re ready for your solution

Once you have that information ready, drop this prompt into ChatGPT or Claude (and don’t forget to fill in the placeholders in the “input” section of the prompt, near the end):
