How to NEVER run out of email ideas again
My 3 go-to newsletter ideation hacks
I used to struggle to come up with newsletter ideas.
Luckily, those days are long gone.
I now have more newsletter ideas that I know what to do with.
All because of these 3 ideation hacks:
Ideation Hack 1: Expand your best social content
One of the biggest benefits of posting content consistently on LinkedIn?
You’re actually validating ideas for future:
Emails
Lead magnets
And even paid products
So if you’re already creating LinkedIn content (or Substack Notes), this is 100% where you should start.
All you have to do:
Build the habit of reviewing your analytics every week
Identify your top 1-2 best performing posts
And expand them into emails
The content that resonates here will resonate in your newsletter too.
For example:
A few weeks ago, I wrote this LinkedIn post breaking down Greg Isenberg’s little-known lead magnet strategy.
And to my surprise, it performed very well.
So the following week, I expanded the post & turned it into an AI Email Marketing Prompt newsletter.
And guess what!?
It also did pretty well as an email!
All because we expanded an already proven idea.

Now, let’s talk about the second hack…
Ideation Hack 2: Mine your sales call transcripts
I recently started taking sales calls for my agency again.
And I immediately realized how many “content-worthy” nuggets I was sharing during these conversations.
So I created an AI prompt (which I’m going to share with you in a sec) to extract content ideas from my sales call transcripts…
And it’s working like a charm.
Every week, I get at least 3-5 new email ideas from every call I take.
The best part is - I know these are valuable because I was able to “validate” them live as I shared them during the call.
For example:
The 3 strategies that I share in this LinkedIn post all come from a real conversation I had with a founder.
Now, I haven’t turned this specific piece into an email yet - but it’s mostly because it didn’t get as much traction as other LinkedIn posts I’ve published recently.
That’s the beauty of posting social content consistently (and why I shared my social content → newsletter expansion hack first):
It’s the best way to validate content ideas quickly and cheaply.
Now, let’s dig into the final hack…
Ideation Hack 3: Use this simple journaling prompt
If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably had this thought more than once:
“But I don’t have anything interesting to say!”
But here’s the thing:
If you’re a subject matter expert (or you’ve been working in an industry for a while), there’s a VERY high likelihood you spend your days working on interesting things you could turn into content.
The problem is...
We take all that expertise, experiences, and insights for granted.
Luckily, I’ve found a simple (but powerful) journaling prompt that’s been incredibly helpful:
“What’s one thing I learned, noticed, or worked on yesterday that I could write about today?”
Every morning, I spend a few minutes reflecting on this question.
And ever since I started, I’ve never run out of content ideas again.

So I highly recommend you give it a try :)
Now, without any further ado, here’s today’s AI prompt…
This Week’s AI Prompt!
This prompt helps you extract high-quality email ideas directly from your sales call transcripts.
Here’s how to use it:
Record your sales calls (with permission, of course)
Get the transcript (most video conferencing tools can do this automatically)
Paste the transcript into the prompt below
Fill in your content pillars and paid offers
Let AI extract 10 email-ready ideas
The prompt will analyze the conversation and identify:
Pain points or recurring frustrations
Objections or mental blocks
Advice that resonated strongly
“Aha” moments from the call
Then it scores each idea based on relevance and suggests whether it should be a short-form or long-form email.
