Everyone talks about repurposing your best social content.

But almost no one talks about repurposing your best emails.

Which is strange - because the same logic applies.

If an email performed well once, you should send it again.

Whether it was a sales email or a free-value newsletter, a proven winner is always worth running back.

Still not sold?

Here are 3 reasons why you should be doing this (if you’re not doing it already):

  • What worked once will (almost) always work again - don’t ask me why, that’s just how it works.

  • Most of your readers never saw it the first time - even a “successful” email only reaches a fraction of your subscribers.

  • And even the people who did see it can still benefit from a reminder - as Hormozi says, people need to be reminded more than they need to be taught.

The key?

Timing.

You don’t want to resend the same email a week later.

Wait 6-8 weeks, make a few tweaks, and run it back.

Now let me give you 2 examples.

How we repurpose our best emails across our verticals

At our Premium Ghostwriting Academy, we have a handful of marketing emails that consistently book dozens of discovery calls every time we send them.

So every few weeks, we find one of these proven book-a-call emails, tweak it a bit, and resend it.

Works like a charm every time.

Also back when we were running our flagship writing program, Ship 30 for 30, multiple times per year as a live cohort, we used to have a series of launch emails that were 100% proven.

In fact, every time we would send them they would crush.

So once we knew that was the case, we started to include them in pretty much all of our launch sequences. Usually, we would set things up where at least 50-70% of our emails for any given launch were coming from this repository of proven hits.

That gave us a certain degree of certainty that the would perform well while also leaving some room for experimentation (so we could continue to find new bangers over time).

The Prompt

As usual, I put together a prompt to help you find and repurpose your best emails.

Now, there’s one quick pro tip I wanna share before I let you try it:

If your email marketing tool of choice has an MCP (Kit and beehiiv both do, for example), I highly recommend connecting your go-to AI tool to it (if you haven’t already).

That way, as you start to answer the questions your AI tool will ask you based on the instructions of the prompt, you can ask it to use the MCP to look at the data inside your own email tool - which will make this whole exercise much easier AND productive.
